Howard Brook Band - `Howard She Goin``

Howard she goin' \'hau-erd shee 'goh-en\ n - An expression or gesture of greeting, lit.: "how is [it] going" and notable for its usage as the "secret" greeting of Carleton Countyers when meeting outside of the region; "Hey Garnet, Howard she goin'? What're you doin' in Calgary, anyway?" The term comes directly from the title of the only record ever released by the Howard Brook Band, a popular rock-and-roll troupe founded by two County residents. The band toured extensively throughout the Maritimes during the early 1980s, and named themselves after Howard Brook, a small creek which flows into the Becaguimec Stream, which in turn empties into the Saint John River at Hartland, NB.
