cabbage \'kah-bidj\ v - 1. To beg, borrow or steal; "I cabbaged that old chair from Mum and Dad." See also: skizzle. 2. To covet or fiercely desire something, usu. something belonging to someone else; "I really cabbage that fellers' half-ton!" The term in both senses is used throughout the region, but is perhaps most commonly heard in northern Maine.
