7. We like single words, compound words, word inversions, or corrupted contraction forms. We don't particularly want similes, or metaphors, e.g. "uglier than a work boot" or "dumb as a bag of hammers." While these are certainly funny and indicative of the region, we could fill a whole other book with them. So, if you don't like rule no. 1, here's your chance to write a book.
8. The Editors reserve the right to break each and every rule above, and will do so on a regular basis.
There's nothing to guarantee that your word(s) will get published in the CCC proper. If we do choose your word for publication, we'll do our very best to let you know and promise you full credit. However, we understand that some folks do not want their name included under our Contributing Editors list, so please let us know that, too.
